My name is Jen and I’m a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner, Pilates & Personal Trainer. I developed SimplyFIT & Fresh because I believe that achieving health can be just that, simple. Through small, sustainable lifestyle changes, including what we eat and how we move, we can transform our health. There is no magic pill, fountain of youth or one-size-fits-all program, but I will guide you through the simple things you can do each day as part of a balanced lifestyle to achieve your personal health, fitness and wellness goals and live your life to the fullest!

For as long as I can remember, I have always been involved in sports. I played every sport in high school and was almost always at a practice or a game (or meet) for something.  I was always burning calories and not even thinking about it.  In my childhood home, if you didn't like what was for dinner, you could always try your luck and hope that at the next meal there was something that you liked. Just deal with it, and eat what's put in front of you.  All this to say, I learned very quickly to not be a picky eater.  As a kid there weren't a lot of things that I wouldn't at least try. Also as a result, food became associated with a time of day (e.g., lunchtime, dinnertime, time for breakfast, time for a snack, etc.). 

Through the aging process, the metabolism slows and naturally you tend to sit a lot more as an adult than you ever thought about as a child.  I was never obese, I was just comfortable with myself being able to eat anything my children didn't finish, didn't want, etc.  Anything.  

 I have done some fad diets in the past (the Atkins Diet when it first came out, for instance), and I am a man of science, so I understand the basics of nutrition, genetics, biochemistry, as well as cause/effect relationships in consumption and your overall health.  

 Jen made a plan that worked for me and broke some of the concepts down into absolutely logical notions that made me ask myself, "how did I not see this?"  No spoilers in this review, but as long as you're honest with yourself, and set realistic goals, Jen will help you reach your objective.  By applying these simple concepts and adhering to the I-control-what-I-do mindset, you can do it.  This is so cliche, but you are the only thing holding yourself back.  Jen will help you channel your core power (with zero judgement) to get you where you want to be.

 By applying Jen's concepts since we started about six months ago, I have lost over 30 pounds, dropped a couple of belt sizes, have a ton more energy, I'm sleeping even better, and I would imagine that I'm maybe more pleasant to be around, too.  5 out of 5.  Would recommend!
